Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AZ Word mobile and web applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) Quick Summary (Not a substitute for the full Terms)

• AZ Word uses AI to generate words, hints, and related content. Outputs may be inaccurate—use your own judgment.
• Use the Service lawfully and respectfully; no cheating, abuse, or interference with others.
• Keep your login secure; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
• In-app purchases/subscriptions are handled by Apple/Google and subject to their policies.
• The Service is provided “as is”; our liability is limited as described below.

2) Eligibility & Children

You must be at least 4 to use the Service. If you are under 10, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

3) Accounts & Security

• Notice of breach: Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
• Deletion: You may request account deletion at any time (see Contact or in-app controls, if available).

4) License & Acceptable Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

You agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, use bots/scrapers/automations, or manipulate gameplay, leaderboards, or rewards.
• Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except where permitted by law.
• Upload malware, probe or test vulnerabilities, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate others, or post illegal/infringing/harmful content.
• Use the Service in a way that violates any law or infringes third-party rights.

5) Your Content

Some features allow you to submit content (e.g., usernames, avatars, scores, text, feedback). You retain ownership of your content.

By submitting content, you grant AZ Word a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, use, reproduce, display, and create derivative works of your content for operating, improving, promoting, and providing the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have the rights to submit your content and that it does not violate the law or these Terms. We may remove or refuse content at our discretion.

6) Feedback

If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use them without any obligation to you.

7) Purchases, Subscriptions & Virtual Items

• Store processing: Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Billing, renewals, and refunds are subject to the store’s terms and policies.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Manage/cancel in your app store settings before renewal to avoid future charges.
• Trials: If offered, trials convert to paid unless canceled before the end of the trial.
• Pricing & taxes: Prices may change; taxes may apply based on your location.
• All sales final: Except where required by law or store policy, purchases are non-refundable.
• Virtual items: Any virtual currency, lives, hints, or similar items have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

8) Third-Party Services & Links

The Service may include third-party content or links. We are not responsible for third-party services; your use is at your own risk and may be governed by other terms and privacy policies.

9) Enforcement & Moderation

We may monitor, suspend, or terminate accounts and remove content to protect users and the Service. We may restrict features if we suspect abuse, cheating, or violations of these Terms.

10) Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using the Service, you agree to our privacy practices as described there, including compliance with applicable Ugandan laws (such as the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019) where relevant.

11) AI Features & Generated Content

AZ Word uses artificial intelligence and machine learning (“AI”) to generate words, hints, definitions, suggestions, and other outputs (“AI Output”). By using AI features, you agree to the following:

• How it works: Your inputs (e.g., prompts, gameplay context) may be processed by our systems and trusted service providers to generate AI Output and to maintain/improve the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• No guarantees: AI Output can be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or inappropriate. Do not rely on it for advice (legal, medical, financial, educational, or otherwise). You are responsible for reviewing and using AI Output at your own risk.
• Content rules still apply: You must not use AI features to create or share illegal, harmful, infringing, or abusive content.
• Human review: We may review samples of inputs/outputs to investigate abuse, ensure safety, and improve quality.
• Third-party providers: We may use third-party AI providers that process data on our behalf and may host or process data in other countries. We require appropriate contractual safeguards.
• Opt-out/Controls: If we provide an in-app toggle for AI features, you may disable them there. Otherwise, contact us (see Contact) to request limitations where feasible.
• Ownership and license: As between you and us, we (and/or our licensors) own the AI models and systems. Subject to these Terms, you may use AI Output for personal, non-commercial purposes within the Service.

12) Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, including the availability of any feature, database, or content. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

13) Updates & Software

We may automatically download and install updates or patches. Some features may not function unless you install the latest version.

14) Intellectual Property

The Service (including text, graphics, logos, sound, and software) is owned by AZ Word or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, you obtain no rights in or to the Service.

15) Copyright/Trademark Concerns

If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us with: (a) your contact details; (b) a description of the work/right you claim is infringed; (c) the URL or description of the material; (d) a statement of good-faith belief; and (e) a statement that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act. 16) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE (INCLUDING ALL AI FEATURES) IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of harmful components, nor the accuracy or reliability of any AI Output.

17) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AZ Word and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service. To the extent not excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (ii) USD $20.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted.

18) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AZ Word and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service (including AI features), your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

19) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, pose a risk to other users, or for legitimate business reasons. Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms will end. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive termination.

20) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and AZ Word agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kampala, Uganda to resolve any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service. Mandatory consumer rights in your place of residence remain unaffected.

21) Export & Sanctions

You may not use or export the Service in violation of applicable export control or sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in, or ordinarily resident in, any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, and are not listed on any prohibited-party list.

22) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by updating the “Last updated” date and/or providing additional notice as required. Changes take effect when posted unless otherwise specified. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

23) Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement: These Terms, plus any policies referenced (e.g., Privacy Policy), are the entire agreement between you and AZ Word.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
• No waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Language: If we provide a translation, the English version controls in case of conflict.
• Headings: Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
